Tau Zeta Epsilon: Art and Music Society

Tau Zeta Epsilon (TZE) is Art and Music Society at Wellesley College. The society was established in 1889 to provide opportunities for additional study of the arts. Nowadays, TZE’s main goal is to promote Art and Music across the Wellesley’s campus and to encourage the Wellesley community to explore these areas. TZE hosts several lectures on art and music each semester and I will devote most of this blog to describing the lectures and to introducing TZE members and their passions.

TZE has currently 45 active members, who are fondly referred to as Tizzies. Former Wellesley College President Diana Chapman Walsh and Mayling Soong (Madam Chiang Kai-Shek) belong to TZE’s notable alumnae.
